What was that name????
I couldn't believe my ears today when they called this customer over the intercom. It went a little like this: "Will Large Hooker please come to the front desk...." I'm not shitting you. This fucking guy's name was Large Hooker. The person making the page immediately received calls from all over the building to verify this name. I rushed over to see the paperwork, and there it was, Large Hooker.
My God, what were his parents thinking? This poor guy must have had to fight his entire life because of that name. He was a rather large black man, so that probably helped him avoid some fights.
I don't think that there could be a legit name funnier then this one. If you honestly know of one, please let me know. I would love to hear it.

Years ago, when I was teaching in public school in Atlanta, I had a female student and her name was pronounced "Alandria." Pretty, huh? The problem was it was spelled "Alderinna" -- not so pretty.
But the absolute worst was a student whose name was spelled "Shithed"
It looked a lot like shit-head, but was pronounced "Shy-teed."

I think that I would have my name permanently changed if it were Shithed. I couldn't live with the abuse. Thanks also for the compliment on my blog, I appreciate it.
I was just telling some friends about the best name in the customer database at a company I worked for years ago, Large Hooker. When we heard about it back then, I suggested that maybe it was a different pronunciation; "Lar-geh", "Lairzh", "Lar-jay"... No, said one of my coworkers who had talked to this person on the phone. It was Large. Mrs. Large Hooker. That's love.
But if the woman was named Large, and your Large is a guy, that means that there are two Large Hookers running around. Brilliant.
